Petrol, diesel prices likely to drop from December 16

ISLAMABAD: There is a possibility of a major reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the country.

Prices may decrease by about twelve rupees from December 16, the oil industry has completed a working paper on the prices of petroleum products and has sent recommendations for price reduction to OGRA.

Sources say that the price of petrol per liter may decrease by 36 paisa, high-speed diesel has been proposed to be reduced by 11 rupees 95 paisa.

Light diesel may become cheaper by up to 10 rupees per liter, while a proposal to reduce the price of kerosene by 11 rupees 70 paisa per liter has been sent to OGRA.

It should be noted that the final decision on the change in the prices of petroleum products will be taken after the approval of the Prime Minister, the new prices will be implemented from December 16.
