Petrol price cut likely, diesel set for sharp hike

ISLAMABAD: Petrol prices are likely to fall and diesel prices to rise.

The new prices will come into effect from 1st February at midnight tonight, with petrol expected to be cheaper by 36 paise.

The price of high-speed diesel per liter may increase by Rs 9.47. Kerosene oil prices are proposed to increase by Rs 3.45 and light diesel oil prices by about Rs 7 per liter.

The final decision on the change in the prices of petroleum products will be taken after the approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
