PSX surges past 156,000 points as Dollar dips in interbank market

ISLAMABAD: After a sharp rally in the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the index recovered to the level of 156,000 points, while the dollar also recorded a decline.

On the second day of the business week, the index increased by more than 4,000 points at the start of trading, which took the index to the level of 156,106 points.

At the end of the previous business day, the index on the stock exchange decreased by more than 16,000 points to close at 151,972 points.

On the other hand, the dollar became cheaper by 1 paisa in the interbank market. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar is trading at the level of 279 rupees 45 paisa in the interbank market.
