SBP announces “Bank Holiday” on first Ramadan ul Mubarak working day

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed for public dealing on the first working day of Ramadan 1446 AH, which will be observed as a “Bank Holiday” for the purpose of Zakat deduction.

Therefore, all banks/DFIs/MFBs will remain closed for public dealing on the first working day of Ramadan 1446 AH. The Central Bank will issue a notification in this regard in a day or two.

However, all employees of banks/DFIs/MFBs will attend to their official assignments on the Bank Holiday and treat it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
