KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board, in accordance with the Government of Sindh’s approval, has postponed the filing date for Agricultural Income Tax returns to October 31 from September 30.
In order to help taxpayers, an online return form has been provided. Taxpayers who are unable to meet the new deadline can expect to be penalized and taken to court.
The Sindh cabinet had passed the Agricultural Income Tax Bill 2025 this year, and it went into effect in January.
With the new law, the recovery of agricultural income tax was shifted from the Board of Revenue (BoR) to the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). Livestock was exempted from taxation under the law.
Farmers with incomes not exceeding Rs150 million per annum were exempt from tax.
