ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Medical Commission’s (PMC) Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 has been declared invalid by the Sindh High Court (SHC) and Islamabad High Court (IHC) due to alleged irregularities, mismanagement, and paper leaks.

Consequently, MBBS and BDS aspirants in Sindh and Islamabad are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the MDCAT 2024 retake date.

Update on MDCAT 2024 Retake Date

The SHC ordered Dow University to reconduct the MDCAT within four weeks, the test can be held on any date before November 23 when the deadline given by the court ends.

While the IHC issued a similar verdict for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University to hold the retake in Islamabad and Azad Kashmir.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir directed that candidates can choose between the retake test and their previous scores from the September test.

The MDCAT is a crucial part of the admissions process for undergraduate medical and dental studies in Pakistan. It assesses problem-solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioral, and social sciences concepts.

The test is mandatory for admissions to MBBS and BDS programs in public and private medical universities and colleges.

Aspirants can check the official websites of Dow University and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University for updates on the retake date and other admission-related information.
