LAHORE: The Punjab government has officially extended the deadline for students to apply under the Chief Minister of Punjab Laptop Program, giving aspiring applicants more time to register their details and benefit from the provincial digital initiative.

The latest official update permits applications until February 28, 2026, through the program’s online portal, which distributes resources according to merit to qualified students.

The program, which started to give modern laptops to exceptional students for digital education, has become part of the Punjab government’s comprehensive strategy to provide educational opportunities and promote youth development.

First and second semester students who studied at public colleges and universities needed to meet two conditions to qualify for the program: they had to show academic excellence and belong to the specified domicile area.

Students should submit their applications through the official portal at cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk because they need to provide correct information, which will prevent any problems during the application process.

The province has introduced this extension to support its continuous efforts, which create educational opportunities and develop professional skills needed in the digital age.

It was earlier reported that CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz will officially inaugurate the CM Youth Laptop Scheme for the Gujranwala Division on Monday, 16th February, at the University of Gujrat.
