Govt extends winter vacations in educational institutions due cold weather

ISLAMABAD: The Azad Kashmir government has extended the winter vacations in educational institutions.

Due to severe cold, the Azad Kashmir government has issued a notification to extend the vacations in educational institutions, according to which educational institutions will remain closed until January 17.

Sindh

The Sindh government has issued a notification to increase the hours of educational institutions due to cold.

Educational institutions in Sindh will open at 9 am until January 26 and the holidays will be at the scheduled time.

According to the notification, all government and private schools in Sindh will open at 9 am for 2 weeks, the closing time of schools will remain as usual.

Punjab

The Punjab government has decided to extend the vacations of educational institutions by one week.

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the severity of the weather and the health of students, schools and colleges will now open from January 19.
