Govt issues notification regarding winter vacations in Punjab schools

LAHORE: The Education DepartmentPunjab has issued a notification regarding the winter vacations in educational institutions.

According to the notification issued by the Education Department, there will be holidays in educational institutions across Punjab from December 22 to January 11.

All government and private schools will remain closed until January 10. Since January 11 is a Sunday, all schools in the province will reopen on Monday, January 12.

On the other hand, the Balochistan Education Department has also announced winter vacations. According to the notification, educational institutions in cold areas will remain closed from December 16, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

Educational institutions in hot areas of Balochistan will remain closed from December 22 to January 4, 2026.

The College Education Department of Sindh, while issuing a notification, said that the vacations will be from December 22 to December 31, 2025.
