Four cricketers suspended over corruption allegations in India

ASSAM: The Assam Cricket Association has suspended 4 cricketers for allegedly being involved in corruption.

According to Indian media, allegations of corruption against cricketers have come to light in domestic cricket.

Media reports are saying that the cricketers were suspended for allegedly being involved in corruption during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

The Assam Cricket Association announced the suspension of the players through a press release.

The suspended domestic cricketers include Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi, and Abhishek Thackeray.

The Association says that the suspended cricketers incited and tried to influence the current cricketers of the Assam team.

The Mushtaq Ali Trophy was held from November 26 to December 8, and an FIR has also been filed against the suspended cricketers in the Crime Branch of Guwahati.

According to Indian media, the suspended cricketers will not be allowed to participate in sporting activities at any level. The four cricketers will remain suspended until the outcome of the investigation.
