ISLAMABAD: In Pakistan, the Director General of Immigration and Passports has introduced a new online passport verification system in collaboration with NADRA.
According to officials, the technical issue encountered in verifying the fingerprints of online passport applicants under the new system has now been resolved.
Citizens can easily verify their fingerprints through NADRA’s Pak ID app, while facial recognition facility will also be available where there is difficulty in fingerprint verification.
Director General of Passports Mustafa Jamal Qazi said that we are committed to providing every possible modern facility so that services can be made more convenient for citizens.
According to experts, the new system will especially benefit overseas Pakistanis and senior citizens, who previously faced difficulties in online fingerprint verification.
