KARACHI: The exams under the Karachi Matriculation Board are starting in the city from April 7, and a new condition has been imposed on the candidates.

According to a private TV, the annual exams of 9th and 10th in the city under the Karachi Matriculation Board are starting from Tuesday, April 7, after which all preparations have been completed.

According to the Matriculation Board, 385,000 candidates will participate in the exams this year, for which 580 examination centers have been established.

A major condition has been imposed on the candidates taking the exam this year, according to which students will use ballpoint pens to solve the answers at the exam centers.

According to the issued announcement, the exam paper from the Matriculation Board will first be provided to 26 hub centers in 19 towns, after which the exam center papers will be transferred.

This year, there will also be a watermark on the paper, which will indicate the leakage of the paper from any center.

Matriculation examinations will be conducted under e-marking and a new grading system this year.

Admit cards of all regular candidates have been uploaded on the board office website, while the admit cards of private candidates have been sent to their residential addresses.

On the other hand, due to a glitch in the matriculation board server, the admit cards of the candidates are not being downloaded, the private school administration has demanded a postponement of the exams by a week.
