MUZAFFARABAD: In continuation of the nationwide distribution for the benefit of the students, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will award laptops to students in Azad Jammu and Kashmir under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme.

The laptop distribution ceremony will take place at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, where eligible students will be given devices in the federal government’s youth-centered scheme. The scheme aims to provide students with tools to tackle their academic work and the development of skills.

This latest phase follows the expansion of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme 2025 to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last week. The prime minister, while addressing the launch ceremony at the University of Haripur, clarified that the laptop distribution is actually less about giving away laptops and more about being part of a larger initiative to assist students in learning, innovating, and competing on the international stage.

The event at Haripur was attended by officials, student representatives, and beneficiaries from earlier phases. It said more than one million students have benefited from the scheme across the country through previous distributions.

The laptop scheme remains one of the flagship initiatives under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
