Pakistan’s public holidays for 2026: Complete List

ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Division will declare a calendar of public and optional holidays to be observed by the offices of the Federal Government in 2026.

The calendar is usually issued in December of each year. With the advent of the New Year 2026, the public is awaiting the official public holidays 2026 calendar.

Now, while all of them wait for the official notification, a speculated calendar of public and optional holidays 2026 has leaked online.

Public Holidays 2026

The first countrywide holiday would fall on February 5. Three holidays are expected to be announced by the government in March 2026 for Eid al-Fitr.

The next would fall on March 23 on account of Pakistan Day. There is also a Labour Day holiday on May 1st.

It will be followed by Eid al-Adha holidays, while Ashura holidays will be observed on Muharram 9 and 10. There will be an Independence Day holiday on August 14.

The government would also announce a holiday on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) in the month of Rabiul Awal, while there will be Iqbal Day holiday on November 9

However, the last public holiday in 2025 will fall on December 25.
