Murree administration issues travel advisory amid heavy snow

MURREE: In Murree, with ongoing snow in the area, an advisory has been issued by the CTO, Imran Razaq, to avoid road travel unless necessary, especially in severe weather conditions.

A spokesperson for the City Traffic Police in Murree said that snowfall is happening in various areas, and the traffic police are fully prepared to provide support to the people. More traffic warden staff have also been posted in Murree.

According to the spokesperson, “The CTO Imran Razaq has taken a personal interest in the flow of all the traffic in the city and as such is still in the field.”

As advised, visitors should use four-wheel-drive automobiles when traveling in snowfall conditions. Visitors should keep their fuel containers full and wear warm clothes during their journey.

The advice also indicates that visitors should not overspeed, keep their tires full, and not park in zones where parking is not allowed.

Traffic police have instructed drivers not to create double lanes in any way during the occurrence of snowfall. Authorities also directed passengers to follow the guidelines set by traffic warden personnel who are on duty.
