LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation has strictly forbidden male teachers from teaching high school and higher secondary classes to girls in all its affiliated schools.

Through the notice issued dated December 8, 2025, it is hereby directed that male teachers shall no longer handle classes for female students in higher grades. Only female teachers will be assigned to teach high school and higher secondary girls.

It has been issued as part of a broader move by PEF to ensure compliance with regulations concerning education and safety and to maintain standards of gender-appropriate teaching. The circular threatens strict action against schools failing to comply with the directive.

This decision pertains to all schools affiliated with PEF in Punjab, keeping in view the safety and cultural sensitivity for female students.
