LAHORE: The government of Pakistan has decided to launch the second phase of the laptop scheme for students under the CM Punjab Free Laptop scheme 2025.
The merit-based laptops will be handed out from next month, and a formal schedule is already in place. Punjab Chief Minister will launch the distribution ceremony in the first or second week of September.
As part of the initial phase of the program, 14,000 laptops were distributed among the students in Lahore. The new phase will be extending the initiative to more deserving students all over the province.
Earlier, The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) officially released the provincial merit list under the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme, confirming the eligibility of students.
According to officials, a dedicated online portal is now live, which allows students to confirm whether they have been selected, waitlisted, or disqualified for academic or administrative reasons.
To assist students in this process, the merit lists are also shared on the website and social media channels through designated Student Focal Persons (SFPs). Students who believe that there is any error in their listed status are strongly advised to contact their assigned Focal Person immediately and submit any supporting documents. The last date for objections or corrections is July 4, 2025 – no application will be entertained after this date.
