LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has approved another medical college following the request of MPA Ali Haider Noor Khan Niazi to create a medical college dedicated to Maryam Nawaz in Mianwali, together with upgrading DHQ Hospital into a teaching hospital.
The decision creates a significant improvement for Mianwali healthcare facilities because residents previously needed to travel to Rawalpindi or Lahore to receive essential medical care, which resulted in both time waste and life loss.
The new medical college and upgraded hospital will provide modern healthcare services and training for future doctors, which will solve the educational and emergency care needs of the region.
Local authorities must provide a feasibility summary within seven days to complete project plans which will enable quick project execution.
