LAHORE: The Punjab government announced a new policy granting schools across the province two weekly holidays. Starting August 15, all schools in Punjab will be closed on both Saturdays and Sundays, as stated by the Department of School Education Punjab.
This policy aims to reduce teachers’ workloads and promote a more balanced work schedule. According to the notification, single-shift schools will run from Monday to Thursday, with classes scheduled from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
