Punjab govt shares latest update on expired driving licence: Details inside

LAHORE: The Punjab government has clamped down on driving without a license, but there is relief for drivers whose licenses have expired.

As per the details, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the provincial authorities have launched new measures to help drivers with expired licenses whose license expired before January 16, 2024.

This allows drivers to renew their license at the previous fee as the government has increased rates in recent months.

New Driving License Fee

Driving School Fee Motor Car Rs12,000 per applicant
Driving School Fee LTV Rs18,000 per applicant
Driving School Fee HTV Rs25,000 per applicant
Medical Fee Rs200 per applicant
Fast Track Driving License Processing Fee (optional) Rs2,000 per applicant
Driving License NOC Fee Rs 1,000 per NOC
Mobile Facilitation Fee Rs 200 per applicant
Road Safety Education Session Fee Rs 200 per violator/applicant
Service Charges for road test
– Motor Car Rs 200 per test
– LTV Rs 300 per test
– HTV Rs 500 per test

Here’s how to renew you driving license?

It is learned that the new fees will apply to licenses expiring on or after January 16, 2024.

For the convenience of the people, Lahore Traffic Police has introduced an online service to facilitate the license process in response to the increasing number of applications.
