LAHORE: The Secretary of the School Education Department has reportedly abolished the Saturday holidays and directed that the offices will remain open on both Saturdays and Sundays.
According to officials, the School Education Department has reportedly issued instructions to all its subordinate bodies to implement the decision immediately.
The heads of 10 attached departments have been directed to comply with it. The instructions have reportedly been sent to all Directorates of Public Instruction (DPIs), Children’s Library Complex, PEMA and PECTA.
It has also been informed that the PECTA and PEMA secretaries will brief the schools on the working arrangements and operational matters.
The newly appointed Secretary of Schools has formally informed all the subordinate bodies about the revised working schedule to ensure better coordination and efficiency.
