SBP announces summer internship program for BS & MS students

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially announced its Summer Internship Program (SIP) 2025, a six-week initiative that will take place at the SBP headquarters in Karachi from June 23 to August 1, 2025.

The program is open to Pakistani and AJK citizens who meet the eligibility criteria.

Application Process & Deadline

  • Applications must be submitted online via the provided link. Submissions via email, in person, or through surface mail will not be accepted.
  •  The last date to apply is February 14, 2025.

Here’s the Eligibility Criteria for Internship

To qualify for the internship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in a bachelor’s program (having completed at least two years) or a master’s program in one of the following disciplines: Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, Agriculture, Media Sciences/Mass Communication, Information Systems, and Technology.
  • Have a minimum of 70% marks (if applying under the percentage system) or a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 (or 4.00 out of 5.00) under the GPA system.
  • Ensure they meet the criteria at the time of application (graduates or students awaiting results are not eligible).

Selection Process for Internship

  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified by March 14, 2025, and required to submit attested copies of their latest official transcript, CNIC/NICOP/passport, domicile, and a passport-size photograph.
  • Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to automatic disqualification.
  • Selected students will receive a confirmation email with further details.
  • Misinformation at any stage will result in immediate disqualification.

Note: The internship will take place in Karachi only, and travel or accommodation expenses will not be covered by the State Bank.
