Sindh Education Department Cancels Hundreds of Appointments and Transfers

More than 400 appointments and transfers made during the caretaker administration have been canceled by the Sindh Education Department.

The appointments and transfers of Additional Secretary Riaz Ali and previous secretary Dr. Shireen Mustafa were canceled, according to a statement from the department.

When it was discovered that the appointments and transfers violated the Recruitment Policy 2021, the department took appropriate measures.

The announcement also stated, “The Director (HRMIS/IT) shall revert the biometric of transferred teachers to their previous place of posting.”

In an unrelated development, the government’s education administration recently made the decision to fill the shortage by hiring thousands of primary school teachers around the province.

A private news program said that 15,380 primary school teachers will be hired by the department. The School Education Department’s HR Wing has finished all required preparations.
