KARACHI: Near Keti Bandar, fisherman in Karachi were lucky to unintentionally catch 700 rare Suwa fish, which are estimated to be valued around Rs2 billion.
Millions of rupees’ worth of extremely uncommon and costly Suwa fish have been caught in the nets of fisherman near Keti Bandar.
The Coastal Media Center’s spokesperson, Kamal Shah, reports that yesterday saw a significant catch of Suwa fish in the nets.

He said that three boats’ nets included seven hundred Suwa fish.
On the other hand, Suwa fish congregate in March and April to lay eggs, according to Majid Khan, the WWF’s technical advisor.
He added that widespread hunting poses a threat to the Suwa fish’s extinction.
