KARACHI: The Sindh government has sanctioned the establishment of 8,049 senior posts in the School Education and Literacy Department for the year 2026. This is expected to enhance leadership and administration in schools.
The sanctioned posts for the above appointment include a total of 44 Chief Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-20), 593 Senior Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-19), 1,444 Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-18), and 5,968 Head Master/Head Mistress (BS-17). The official letter regarding the aforementioned appointment is also issued to the Section Officer (Secondary-I) of the concerned department.
Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, said that this is a measure that comes under a series of reforms that are taking place to ensure better management and administration in schools. The government has also been working on some projects that are a result of PPPs because development in Sindh is sustainable.
Establishment of these positions is also expected to improve educational governance, the quality of teaching, as well as educational development in the schools within the province.
