UHS revives curriculum for BDS, MBBS

LAHORE: Medical and dental teaching in Punjab has entered a new era because of the introduction of new MBBS and BDS Curricula in Punjab by the University of Health Sciences (UHS).

The New MBBS Modular Integrated Curriculum 2023 and BDS Integrated Curriculum 2025 will be followed in all medical and dental colleges.

The revised Curriculum was approved by the UHS Syndicate and the Boards of Studies in Medicine and Dentistry. The Punjab Specialised Healthcare Minister, Khawaja Salman Rafique, launched the programs offered at UHS Lahore by posting them on the official website of the university.

The vice chancellor of UHS, Prof Ahsan Waheed Rathore, said that the launch aims at improving the level of clinical training and the quality of education in general. The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Nadia Naseem, further added that the curriculum was designed by more than 700 faculty members in the last three years in the field of MBBS.

As per the officials of UHS, the new MBBS and BDS Curriculum design adheres to the national regulatory standards and international standards with a major emphasis on learning, exposure, professionalism, and skills.
