Allegations of election rigging were raised after extensive cellular network interruptions and delayed results marred Pakistan’s national polls on February 8.

The PTI has scheduled a demonstration for today at 11 a.m., with a march starting in F-9 Park and ending at the press club. Security measures in Islamabad have been stepped up, and the federal capital is subject to Section 144 enforcement.

A police spokesperson emphasized tighter inspections and more patrols, as well as the deployment of CTD special troops for emergency reaction. People are asked to comply with law enforcement during identity checks and carry identification, especially in light of possible traffic congestion near F-9 Park.

The PTI demonstration in Lahore is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am on GPO Chowk Mall Road. There will likely be heavy traffic in the region, and security has been increased.
