F-15 fighter jet
TEHRAN: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed to have shot down a US F-15 fighter jet.
According to Iranian media, the advanced air defense system of the Revolutionary Guards’ Aerospace Force successfully targeted a US fighter jet, and the US F-15 fighter jet was shot down near the southwestern border.
On the other hand, US officials have dismissed reports of Iran shooting down fighter jets as baseless.
A statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) on the social networking website X (formerly Twitter) said that the rumors circulating about the downing of a US F-15E fighter jet in Iran are baseless and false.
CENTCOM officials also said that there is no truth in the information spread on social media about the downing of a US plane.
It should be noted that if the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ claim is proven correct, this will be the fourth F-15 fighter jet that the United States has lost in the recent war between the United States and Israel with Iran.
It should be remembered that earlier, the Kuwaiti Air Force had shot down three American F-15 fighter jets in its airspace based on a misunderstanding, which was also confirmed by American officials.
On the other hand, details of the casualties in the Iran-US war so far have come to light. According to the report, 1,230 people, including 175 female students and teachers, have been killed in Iran in the attacks by the United States and Israel, while 11 people have been killed in Iran’s attacks on Israel so far.
According to the report, 6 American soldiers have been killed in Iranian attacks, 77 people have been killed in Israeli bombings on Lebanon, while 1 person has been killed in the Iranian attack on Bahrain, and 4 people, including two Kuwaiti soldiers, will be killed in the attack on Kuwait.
According to media reports, one person has been killed in an Iranian attack on an oil tanker in Oman, while three people have been killed so far in Iranian attacks in the UAE.
