ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has repaid its debt ahead of schedule for the first time in its history.

Pakistan has achieved a major economic milestone by repaying its debts on a large scale ahead of schedule for the first time in its history.

The Ministry of Finance says that in just 14 months from the end of 2024 to January 2026, the government of Pakistan has repaid a total of Rs 3,654 billion of internal debt ahead of schedule, which has never happened before.
