Talks between Israel and Lebanon likely to begin next week

WASHINGTON: Israel and Lebanon are likely to begin talks next week, but the final date and venue for the talks have not yet been set.

According to US media, a senior Lebanese official said that the framework for talks between the two countries will be the same as that adopted for the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the US under Pakistan’s mediation.

According to reports, the proposed talks are likely to take place at the US State Department, where representatives of the two countries will discuss important issues.

Israeli Prime Minister orders immediate start of direct talks with Lebanon

Lebanese officials say that the aim of the talks is to reduce tensions and establish lasting peace in the region, diplomatic activities have intensified and various options are being considered.

Experts say that if these talks are successful, not only can relations between Israel and Lebanon improve, but also positive progress will be possible for peace and stability in the entire region.
