ISLAMABAD: WhatsApp has been working on the username feature for a long time and there have been several reports in this regard.

Finally, the biggest feature of 2026 has been introduced in WhatsApp.

Yes, indeed, the username feature has been introduced for limited users in the beta versions of WhatsApp for Android and iOS devices.

Thanks to this feature, the privacy of users will be improved because they will not need to share their phone number with new people, but usernames will be used for this purpose.

WhatsApp will also provide the facility of a 4-digit username key. So, the person who wants to message you will also need to know this username key so that the security can be strengthened.

However, it will still be necessary to associate the phone number with WhatsApp, but there will be no need to share it.

Whenever you have access to this feature, it is also very easy to use.

For this, go to WhatsApp settings and click on the profile photo.

There you will see the username option at the bottom, by clicking on which you can create your username.

Similarly, if you can use your Facebook or Instagram username for WhatsApp.
