KARACHI: Matriculation exams in Karachi are starting from today, however, the board is still changing the examination centers.

Students and parents are worried due to the uncertain situation. Parents of students appearing in the exams complained that the examination centers listed on the admit card were changed a day before the exams.

Sindh Education Minister Muhammad Ismail Rahu had expressed his deep anger at the Chairman of the Matriculation Board Karachi the other day over the failure to issue students’ admit cards and access them online.

He sent a letter to the chairman and directed that action be taken against those responsible for this serious negligence and if a satisfactory response is not received within three days, disciplinary action will be taken against those responsible.

On the other hand, the Examinations Controller said that all arrangements have been completed. A monitoring cell was set up in the Commissioner’s office on the request of the board administration. According to the Examinations Controller, the Commissioner Karachi has imposed Section 144 around the examination centers.

He said that for law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order, a letter was issued from the board, and cyber security was also instructed to monitor the WhatsApp group that leaked the papers.

The examination director said that those who could not reach their examination center on the first day for any reason can submit their papers at the nearest examination center.
