Traffic plan announced for Islamabad as red zone access restricted

ISLAMABAD: Major arrangements have been made for traffic in the federal capital on Friday, March 13, 2026.

According to the Islamabad Traffic Police, only Margalla Road will remain open to go to the Red Zone, while all other entrances will remain closed.

Citizens have been asked to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative routes.

Closures of major highways and routes are also ongoing. All entrances and exits of Iran Avenue are closed.

Chand Tara Flyover to Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk will remain closed, while Aabpara Suhrawardy Road is completely closed.
