US captured Venezuelan President Maduro, wife in ‘large-scale strike’: Trump

WASHINGTON: The United States has captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife in an operation carried out on Saturday, according to US President Donald Trump.

In his X post, the US president said that ” The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country.”

He added, “This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M. at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Earlier, the US military carried out attacks on various locations, including the Venezuelan capital.

Explosions have occurred in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and low-flying aircraft have been seen in various areas of the city.

According to US media, US President Donald Trump has ordered attacks in Venezuela, and at least 7 explosions have occurred in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.

According to US media, a US official told the news agency that the US is carrying out military attacks against Venezuela.

The Venezuelan government has confirmed that the attacks took place in the states of Caracas, Miranda, Aragua and La Guerra. These US attacks aim to seize Venezuela’s oil and minerals.

The Venezuelan government has responded to the attacks by saying that the US will not succeed in obtaining our resources, and we reject US military aggression.

The Venezuelan president has declared a state of emergency in the country after the attacks.

On the other hand, Russian media is claiming that the US attacks have targeted Venezuela’s defense headquarters and that the Venezuelan president has left the presidential palace.

Russian media says that there have been unconfirmed reports of US Marines launching ground operations on several islands in Venezuela.
