US captured Venezuelan President Maduro, wife in 'large-scale strike': Trump
WASHINGTON: The United States has captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife in an operation carried out on Saturday, according to US President Donald Trump.
In his X post, the US president said that ” The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country.”
He added, “This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M. at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
Earlier, the US military carried out attacks on various locations, including the Venezuelan capital.
Explosions have occurred in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and low-flying aircraft have been seen in various areas of the city.
