ISLAMABAD: The term heart disease is used to describe problems related to heart health, including heart attack, irregular heartbeat, or any type of damage to different parts of this organ.

It is believed that heart disease occurs in old age or at least in middle age.

But in recent years, there has been a surprising increase in the rate of heart disease in young people.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and smoking are considered risk factors for many heart diseases, but now it has been discovered that a common dietary habit is also important in this regard.

In fact, excessive protein consumption significantly increases the risk of heart disease.

Protein consumption is important for everything from reducing appetite to building muscles.

But a study published in the journal Nature Metabolism found a link between high protein intake and heart disease.

Protein contains several amino acids that are essential for muscle growth and metabolic functions, but not all amino acids are beneficial.

This study found that a specific amino acid in protein, leucine, potentially increases the risk of heart disease.

According to the study, high levels of this amino acid in the body activate a biological process that causes fatty material and cholesterol to accumulate in the arteries.

In this regard, experiments conducted on mice found that high protein diets increase the number of amino acids and immune cells absorb these amino acids, which activates this biological process.

The researchers said that we discovered that leucine activates this process and immune cells increase the risk of heart disease.

The study also looked at how much protein consumption per day increases this risk.

The researchers found that getting 22 percent of your daily calories from protein significantly boosted your immune system.

They also noted that not all protein sources contain the same amount of leucine, but animal proteins like chicken and beef are high in this amino acid.

They said it was important to make a balanced diet a habit and avoid excessive protein intake.

They acknowledged that research results in this regard are limited and that the effects of protein-rich diets on a long-term basis need to be analyzed.
