ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in different parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and the Potohar region. Hailstorms have also been predicted in some areas of northeastern Punjab. Rain has also been predicted in Islamabad and its surroundings.
According to the report, rain is likely in Chitral, Buner, Swat, Bajaur, Malakand and Parachinar, while rain is also expected in Khyber, Mohmand, Mardan, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Battagram.
Rain is expected at a few places in various districts of Punjab, including Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Narowal.

Similarly, rain is also likely in Peshawar, Shangla, Kohistan, Dir, Kohat, Orakzai, Nowshera and Waziristan. Rain is expected at places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Khushab, while rain has also been predicted in Lahore, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Jhang and Kasur.
The Meteorological Department says that the weather is likely to remain hot in most parts of the country including Karachi.
