A delegation of Chinese environmental experts will visit Punjab soon

The Punjab government has asked for help from China to tackle smog, a delegation of Chinese environmental experts will visit Punjab soon, there will be a partial lockdown in ten districts tomorrow.

The smog situation in Lahore could not be improved.

The air quality index in different areas of the city was more than 300. The provincial capital was still ranked second among the most polluted cities in the world.

Due to air pollution, the number of respiratory and throat patients also increased. During 24 hours, three thousand two seventy-six people reached the government hospitals.

The Minister of Health has appealed to the citizens to take all precautionary measures.

Dr. Jamal Nasir MCL, Minister of Primary Health, is continuing to sprinkle water to eliminate smog.

As part of the smog prevention measures, educational institutions will remain closed tomorrow in ten districts including Lahore, while markets will open after three o’clock.
