Smog has become an epidemic, smart lockdown is in force in 10 districts of Punjab, public and private schools, colleges and universities will remain closed in ten districts today, while markets, gyms, restaurants and cinemas will be allowed to work after three o’clock, while offices can also be opened after three o’clock.
The air quality index of Lahore has increased to an alarming level; the overall air quality index of the city is being recorded at 394. In the list of the most polluted cities in the world, Lahore has once again come to the first place.
Air quality index exceeded 450 in many areas of the city, Punjab government decided to restrict normal life in Lahore and Gujranwala divisions, transportation will be restricted in Lahore, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura and Kasur.
It was also decided to restrict transportation in Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin. All public and private educational institutions will remain closed today, online classes can be taken.
Experts have instructed citizens to wear masks and take precautionary measures.
