KARACHI: Medical experts have revealed that the highest number of deaths after the coronavirus epidemic is due to heart disease.

According to the details, after the coronavirus epidemic, there has been an increase in heart attack cases in Karachi, like all over the world, which has been noted by medical experts.

Some people who have been vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine also complain of heart pain, which is creating confusion in society about the vaccine.

Medical experts have admitted that in the initial days of vaccination, more cases of death due to heart attack were reported, but since post-mortems were not conducted during this time, it is difficult to say whether the cause of death is Covid or something else.

If we look at the data of the Aga Khan University Hospital, before Corona, in 2018 and 2019, 1,000 to 1,500 patients came here every year who needed urgent angiography, angioplasty, or bypass, but after Corona, this number has increased to 2,500 to 3,000 patients annually from 2021 to 2024.

Despite the coronavirus vaccine, cases of stroke and heart attack increased in the elderly, while cases of myocarditis, i.e., inflammation of the heart muscle, were seen more in the young.

According to data from around the world, heart attack cases increased in the first year after the Corona vaccine was administered, but after that, they started to decrease, especially in those who received the third dose.

These cases have now started to decrease. The mortality rate also increased in the early days of the coronavirus vaccine.

It is complicated to say whether these deaths were due to the coronavirus or the vaccine. But this is not a rumor, but scientific data and evidence that heart attack cases initially increased after the coronavirus vaccine was administered.

According to Syed Umar Ahmed, Chairman of the Healthcare Devices Association of Pakistan, there has been a significant increase in the use of angioplasty procedures and stents after COVID-19.
