After being denied permission by India, Saudi Airlines jet makes an emergency landing in Karachi

KARACHI: Due to a medical emergency, a Saudi Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Karachi, a port city in the southern part of the country, on Tuesday.

According to reports, early in the morning, flight SV 802 departed Dhaka and was its route to Riyadh when a passenger’s health began to deteriorate when the aircraft was in Indian territory.

According to reports, the pilot tried to make an emergency landing after contacting Indian authorities, but they refused, so he had to get in touch with a Pakistani air traffic controller.

For humanitarian reasons, the Pakistani air traffic controller let the aircraft to land at the Karachi airport. A medical crew inspected and treated the passenger as soon as the plane touched down.

Abu Tahir, the passenger, was 44 years old and had a history of high blood pressure. The physicians judged the patient stable, and the airplane left Karachi.
