Islamabad Weather Update: clear sky on Tuesday after heavy rain

Over the past twenty-four hours, multiple areas across Pakistan witnessed rainfall, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad, with experts forecasting that the downpour will persist intermittently through Tuesday evening and night.

The Met Office warned that moderate to heavy rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad and Punjab on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday, and Thursday. Isolated hailstorms are also anticipated throughout the forecast period.

As per the Met Office weather advisory, a westerly wave is likely to affect north-eastern parts of Balochistan and southern Punjab in the next 24 hours.

In addition to the federal capital, neighboring regions of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are anticipated to experience rainfall and thunderstorms.

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday night and Wednesday in the following cities: Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, and Kasur.

In addition, snow rain, and thunderstorms were forecasted for Murree, Galliyat, and the surrounding hilly districts. The following locations can expect mild to moderate rainfall with strong winds: Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Kot Addu, Layyah, and Multan.
