In many regions of the world, Pakistani women have shown extraordinary achievement in a variety of fields. Alizey Khan, a 26-year-old woman, recently made history by being the first Pakistani woman to win the coveted Diana Legacy Award.

The Ruhil Foundation’s founder, Khan, received a distinguished award earlier this week during a ceremony held in the capital of the United Kingdom.

The Diana Legacy Award, the greatest honor given to young people in appreciation of their humanitarian or social action endeavors, was given to Alizey by William, Prince of Wales. One of the twenty young leaders from across the globe to win this accolade was a philanthropist from Pakistan.

The prize bears Princess Diana’s name, who was inspired by her conviction that youth had the power to positively impact society. Members of the British royal family support the Diana Award.

A prestigious panel led by Baroness Doreen Lawrence selected the recipients of the legacy award. The panel’s difficult duty was to choose 20 people from a group that had already received recognition for their contributions to society with The Diana Award in 2022 or 2023.

The Ruhil Foundation’s founder, Alizey Khan, fought against food insecurity by giving those in need meals and ration packs. She also promotes fundraising for orphanages in Lahore, the city of Punjab, sanitation efforts in impoverished areas, and education for the offspring of sex workers. She made a substantial contribution to the Covid pandemic by providing ration packs to people in Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan who were devastated by flooding.
