7 officers, including lieutenant colonel and captain, martyred in suicide attack in Mir Ali

Mir Ali: According to ISPR, a group of terrorists attacked a check post of security forces in Mir Ali area of ​​North Waziristan on Saturday morning, resulting in the death of  7 officers including a lieutenant colonel and a captain.

Pakistan Army foiled the initial infiltration attempt and killed 6 terrorists. According to the sources, the terrorists drove a car full of explosives to the check post, after which several suicide bomb attacks were carried out, which resulted in the collapse of a part of the building, in which five brave sons of soil were martyred

According to ISPR, Havildar Sabir Sukna of Khyber district, Naik Khurshid Sukna of Lakki Marwat district, Sepoy Nasir Sukna of Peshawar district, Sepoy Raja Sukna of Kohat district and Sepoy Sajjad of Abbottabad district were martyred in the initial attack.

The security forces conducted a clearance operation under the leadership of Lt. Col. Kashif and killed all the six terrorists. However, Lt. Col. Syed Kashif Ali, 39, a resident of Karachi, and Capt. Muhammad Ahmed Badr was martyred. Meanwhile, a sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists in the area.

ISPR said that Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave men strengthen our resolve.
