Chinese Defense Spokesperson confirmed that Chinese troops will take part in the upcoming Pakistan Day Parade, scheduled to be held on March 23 in Islamabad.
Chinese People’s Liberation Army is set to participate for the second time. They participated in the event earlier in 2017.
The Guard of Honor Battalion of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will participate in the Pakistan Day Parade, Chinese Defense Spokesperson Senior Colonel Zhang Xiaogang said at a regular press briefing on Friday.

He said, “At the invitation of the Pakistani military, the Guard of Honor of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will send a contingent to Pakistan in mid-to-late March to participate in the Pakistan Day Parade.”
In the past, military forces from several other nations, including Saudi Arabia, have also taken part in the event.
Preparations are in full swing for the Pakistan Day Parade, which will take place on March 23 at the Shakarparian Parade Ground in Islamabad.
The Ministry of Defence has previously issued letters to the four provinces’ ministries, divisions, and chief secretaries, as well as Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, requesting lists of officials to attend the Pakistan Day Parade by February 15.
The Ministry of Defence has also sent similar letters to the President’s House, Prime Minister’s House, National Assembly, and Senate secretaries.
According to tradition, the President of Pakistan attends the renowned event as the chief guest, with the Prime Minister, cabinet members, senior civil and military personnel, and diplomats based in Islamabad. Meanwhile, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has begun beatification work and plantation at and around the parade ground.
