CM Maryam Nawaz annouces first public cancer hospital of Punjab
Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz has announced the construction of the first government cancer hospital of Punjab in Lahore today (Monday).
The Punjab government announced Punjab’s first public cancer hospital to be constructed near Valencia Town in Lahore.
On the occasion, the Punjab Chief Minister was briefed about the proposed site of the cancer hospital. She also approved the development of a hotel for cancer patients’ attendants.
Speaking on this occasion, the Punjab Chief Minister said that the Punjab government will bring in the best cancer specialists from around the world for the hospital and the latest machinery for treating patients at the cancer hospital.

PML-N’s official X account said, “Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz’s big announcement for the poor people. CM Punjab Maryam announced the construction of Punjab’s first cancer hospital near Valencia Town. Chief Minister inspected the proposed site of the Cancer Hospital near Valencia Town”.
She also vowed that disease screening would begin across the province and that when she left office after five years, she wanted a state-of-the-art hospital in each city.
She also stated that free medicines would be available in all emergency departments of government hospitals starting today. The Rescue 1122 service has been asked to establish a motorway ambulance service.
