QUETTA: With rain and snowfall adorning its various cities, Balochistan is finally enjoying the much-anticipated winter charm.

Rain is starting to fall in Quetta, creating a beautiful winter scene.

Winter wonder, though, is not without its difficulties.

Normal life has been disrupted by power outages caused by the precipitation in Quetta.

It is now challenging to supply the residents with drinkable water due to the disruption in the water supply caused by the lack of electricity.

To make matters worse, there are communication problems throughout the impacted areas due to problems with the phone and internet systems.

Ziarat has also been fortunate to experience rain and the first snowfall of the season, which has improved the landscape’s beauty but exacerbated the cold spell.

The majority of Balochistan’s districts will experience cold weather, according to the Meteorological Department. The northern regions of Quetta, Zhob, Pishin, Chaman, Ziarat, and their environs are anticipated to encounter partly cloudy skies and light precipitation.

In the meantime, Karachi has been hit by a persistent cold snap, with a low of 14 degrees Celsius. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) did, however, predict two more days of below-average temperatures.

In a bulletin posted on its website, the Met Office stated that temperatures in Karachi cooled off on Friday. On Saturday, they are predicted to drop one degree Celsius and stay between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius.

People in Karachi, which typically experiences moderate weather, shivered due to north-easterly winds gusting at 13 km/h.

In addition, Karachi and other province districts should expect some light rain or drizzle.

However, during the morning and nighttime hours, there is a good chance of heavy fog in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur Padaidan, and other upper areas of Sindh.

The daytime highs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab’s upper regions will be between 0 and 8 degrees Celsius, accompanied by smog.
