GAZA: Torrential rains triggered by Storm Byron have caused widespread devastation in Gaza, leaving at least 14 Palestinians dead, including children.

According to Arab media reports, 12 people were killed when dilapidated buildings collapsed due to heavy rainfall, while two young girls lost their lives after succumbing to extreme cold. The severe weather has affected nearly 800,000 people across the region, forcing residents to carry out relief efforts on a self-help basis amid limited resources.

Meanwhile, international media reports suggest that an International Stabilization Force may be deployed in Gaza next month. US officials have assured that the proposed force will not engage in combat against Hamas. An important conference regarding the establishment of the international force is expected to be held in Doha next week.
