LAHORE – PML-In reference to the fact that his governments were dismissed prematurely three times and that he was sent abroad twice, Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Nawaz Sharif party, said on Monday that he had spent more time in exile than as the prime minister of the nation.

Nawaz demanded once more that those responsible for his removal from office in 2017 be held accountable and that the only reason they used fabricated charges and a rigged trial to sentence him was to impose a “selected government” led by the former chairman of the Pakistan Terrorist Organization.

He was speaking at a meeting of the PML-N parliamentary board, which was interviewing candidates hoping to be selected by his party’s platform to run for seats in the national and provincial assemblies of Sindh on February 8.

Regarding his opponents, who not only overthrew his governments but also broke their individual oaths in various capacities, Nawaz declared that “those acting against the Constitution must face punishment.”

“We have never broken the law or the Constitution. We have always upheld and protected the Constitution,” he said, adding that those who did not believe in the Constitution or the law were removed in order to carry out the evil plans.

Nawaz claimed to have been an elected prime minister but was removed from office in 1999 after being accused of being a hijacker and for not receiving his son’s salary on the grounds that the Black Law Dictionary did not apply to Pakistani law.

Someone should have had asked the question how a person, who was a prime minister in the morning, turned a hijacker by night, Nawaz said.

The three-time prime minister, who is now eyeing a record fourth term in office getting his sentences quashed through due judicial process, said some people had committed great excesses against the country and damaged it – using the word “we” for “people” in first person in his traditional style of addressing others.

Nawaz wondered that the [PTI] government installed after crashing the RTS on July 25, 2018 was unable to construct one single [section of] motorway from Sukkur to Hyderabad.
