IRSA releases 88,800 cusecs water

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 88,800 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 125,600 cusecs.

According to statistics supplied by IRSA, the water level in the River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1419.34 feet and 21.34 feet above its dead level of 1,398 feet,

The dam’s water intake and outflow were measured at 29,100 and 10,000 cusecs, respectively. At Mangla Dam, the River Jhelum’s water level was 1089.40 feet, 39.40 feet over its dead level of 1,050 feet.

There was a reported intake of 37,400 cusecs and an outflow of 20,000 cusecs of water.At Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu, and Sukkur, the water release was measured at 40,900, 34,100, 32,500, and 6,500 cusecs, in that order.

Likewise, a total of 35,300 cusecs of water were discharged from the River Kabul at Nowshera and 18,200 cusecs from the River Chenab at Marala.
