ISLAMABAD: For the upper regions of Pakistan, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and snow in various amounts on Thursday night and Friday. The precipitation will fall on the mountains. Given the synoptic conditions, upper Pakistan experiences a shallow westerly wave. It’s likely to last for the next twenty-four hours.
In isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, and the surrounding mountainous areas, partly overcast weather with light rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over the hills, is predicted for Thursday night. Elsewhere in the nation, cold, dry weather is predicted.
In much of the country, chilly, dry weather is predicted for Friday, with freezing temperatures in the north. In isolated sections of Gilgit-Baltistan and the surrounding mountainous regions, partly overcast weather is forecast, along with light rain, wind, and thunderstorms, as well as snowfall over the hills. The minimum temperatures in Islamabad on Friday and Saturday are probably going to be in the range of 05 to 07 degrees Celsius.

Over the past day, the majority of the nation has experienced chilly, dry weather, with temperatures dropping to below zero in the north. There were rain-thunderstorms in Balochistan, higher Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, along with snowfall over the hills.

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 83 per cent.
